In this.
Seriously, this 2010 Ranger is pretty smooth and quite comfy compared the 2005 we had before. The 2005 had 280000 km and this one has 240000 km, yet it doesn't feel like the buckets of doom that the 05 was at the same mileage. I'd buy one if I needed a small pickup truck. But I'm immature. So leaving it in my hands means that traction control is off all the time and this:
Would mean this:
But I do have some self control so I didn't.
Interesting things I've seen there:
This must be the the biggest tires I've seen live in front of me. I don't know where they came from.
This pair of Macks are definitely the most good looking trucks I've seen face to face. The paint quality is great on these!
....then there's this LNG mess....*pukes*
It was a fun relaxing day you could say.

Nice! I miss my '09 Ranger from time to time. It was a great little truck.
Is it a 4-banger or a V6?

This model did. The 2005 that we had didn't.

The 4 I had was not a bad engine, either. Not the quietest, but it had enough power and torque for my needs. It had the manual though, not sure how it is with the auto.

I don't like traction control, I feel like I have less control.

On the '10, the auto is quite good. All smooth for that much mileage. The 05 we had, HORRIBLE. But it was abused. Same for the V6s. The 10 is very smooth and powerful. The 05...you could floor it and wait...wait...wait...

Well, it is going against your will to save you...somewhat.

But then, when you hammer it to get out into traffic and it starts restricting throttle in a Pontiac Vibe that doesn't really spin tires with it off, it can be a problem.

I know that feel. That's why I remove it when I know I'm gonna gun it. I even found a 5 sec + trick that completely disable the traction control. It make a car feels free so much, it's crazy. But not all cars can do it. My MX5 can, the Ranger can't.

Saw it the first time I ever saw the movie. Surprised nobody else has ever pointed it out. The sedans are even in order!

That seems to me like an odd thing for a heavy-duty mechanic to say. Though, I do live in B.C. where mining is big, so I guess I'm used to them. My elementary school's playground was constructed from discarded mining truck tires that were big enough to climb inside of. I also live across the highway from one of Kal Tire's only retread plants, so I regularly see loads like this:

Probably from a mining or gravel operation. Going back to get retreaded. Those "smaller" tires can cost $30-50K new. Quebec. Americans love it there. The locals hate everybody.

The tires on that 797 CAT shown above can cost in the realm of $70k each new.
